Scholarships for Single Mothers Put Moms Back to the Classroom! For those of us who think we have already settled down with our kids, jobs, and day-to-day lifestyles, pursuing further education may be a far away fantasy. After all, it’s difficult enough to try to cover all the expenses for ourselves and our kids; why add education costs to the burden? But now with the Scholarships for Single Mothers, single moms can finally go back to school and get that nursing or business degree they’ve always wanted. One of the best things about scholarships is that they, like grants, don’t have to be repaid. It’s essentially free money—and who doesn’t want that?
Many of these scholarships are specifically provided for women of a certain race, pursuing a certain career goal, or even certain life circumstances and can come from not only outside organizations, but from within the college itself as well. In a world of increasingly competitive applicants all searching for the best jobs, a higher-level education degree can be invaluable, especially for single moms. Let’s face it: raising a kid isn’t cheap. There are clubs, sports, and perhaps even a college education to consider for the future. With a better job yourself, it will become much easier for you to provide everything that your child deserves. Invest your time into getting scholarships for single mothers!

Hello, my name is Sherell D Johnson I am a 24 year old single mother who is trying to get her degree in Nutrition.
I am a single mother raising a 10 year old daughter. I have been trying to work in the real estate industry, however, I have made literally less than $10,000.00 in four years. I am now enrolled in Front Range Community College in Westminster, Colorado to obtain either a degree in Nursing or Radiology. I am not going to put myself in a position again, where I need to depend upon a man to pay for my housing or groceries. I married a man in 2007, and he lived with me for 10 weeks, and has not since that time. He is of no financial support and refuses to live with me. My income last year was $2925.00 in my real estate work. This year it will be probably about $3400.00. I had filed my taxes with him last year, as he threatened to divorce me if I didn’t. Can you please help me with some grant money. My daughter Mckenna and I live with my alcoholic dad, as we have no other options at this time. I am looking for work and am planning on attending school in the spring – full time.
